Perforated Sheets are created by punching regular flat sheets with a determined pattern for cosmetic or usability reasons.
Perforated sheets are often used in applications where the passing of water or air is crucial, like ventilation or filtering.
Due to the punched pattern, these sheets are usually very light and thin. Perforated metal comes in mild steel, galvanised, aluminium or stainless steel.
The sheets are 2440mm x 1220mm and come in a variety of thicknesses and hole sizes. The perforations can come in round, square, slotted, hex or a special pattern.
Expanded Sheet Metal
Expanded Metal sheets are made from solid sheets or coil. A machine slits and stretches the sheet into an open diamond pattern.
Expanded metal sheets come in two common types: raised and flattened. Raised sheets have wavy ridges throughout, whereas flattened sheet are truly flat.
Expanded metal is commonly used to guard the entry to an area or object or as a barrier, but still allow the free passing of liquids and gases.

Walkway mesh is used in applications such as rooftops, mezzanine floors, staircases and chemical factories.
The aluminium variety comes in 600mm wide and 6 metres long. The steel varieties come in various size options.
